Dr. Janssen specialises in aesthetic surgical facial rejuvenation procedures, as well as reconstructive facial surgery. Originally from Germany, Dr. Tim J. Janssen earned his Medical Degree (MD) at the University of Hamburg.
He graduated in Germany and completed a full-time research program before undertaking higher specialist training in Germany, Switzerland, and the UK.
Dr. Janssen has participated in numerous research endeavours and was selected as a reviewer by the editorial team of the American Aesthetic Surgery Journal (ASJ) on the basis of his knowledge in the field. He is included in the Specialist Register in the UK, Germany, and Switzerland and is a full member of the German Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.
He is one of the few surgeons worldwide who specialises in endoscopic facelift surgery, a technique that enables facial rejuvenation with no visible scarring. He has developed two proprietary procedures: the S-Ponytail Lift, a hidden-incision endoscopic facelift, and the HI S-Ponytail Lift, which combines a hidden-incision facelift and neck lift. These advanced techniques aim to achieve natural, long-lasting results while preserving facial anatomy and avoiding visible incisions.
Dr Janssen is actively involved in academic research and peer review. He was invited to serve as a reviewer for the American Aesthetic Surgery Journal (ASJ) in recognition of his expertise. He is listed on the Specialist Register in the UK, Germany, and Switzerland.
